Then a piece of silcone rubber hose to the hot side, regular rubber to the inlet side that went to the top of the carb barrel. The Stainless Steel tube could burn away, allowing dirty exhaust to get inhaled through the choke, carboning it up.
Looks like Chrysler didn't bother with clean air in those days. 1960 +/- ?
