I have watched a couple in action over the last few years. Group of guys my brother hangs out with are steam guys. They have put together a logging show over 4 of July weekends @ Pomeroy Farms. I usually get drug into running the log truck. I also was there and signed the top of the spar tree when they put it up a couple years ago. They put an aluminum cap on the top to keep the water out.
