There are a lot more folks much more knowledgeable than me on this forum, I just sort of knew about that as I have been thru that. How accurate I am-----who knows. I always wondered about turning the eigth inch off the drum diameter, if it weakened the drum, I doubt it as it seems to be pretty thick, also wondered about the heat from the drum being able to dissipate fast enough when braking down hill for it to dissipate when the wheel is running only and eighth of an inch away from it, without overheating, who knows maybe it would fan it off better.
