Anyone ever dipped their rad .......

I tossed my old rad in the electrolysis tank a couple of hours ago . The side braces are made of steel and rusty . The top and bottom tank are copper not brass . I plan on having the rad recored and want to keep the costs down . I figured the cleaner and more corrosion free the better . Anything I need to worry about or watch for ?
Tempted to make new side braces out of copper - one more thing to disipate heat .
