Desoto, I just did one about six weeks ago. took the set off a 50 ff and didn't notice the one was broken. had been welded back on at some time a loonngg time ago(the weld was almost rusted off!) it was done with a 6010 rod and held a long time, but was very crooked(welded that way), I cut it off and cleaned it up, welded it back on straight with 7018. I know my 7018 will out live the 6010. it's a soft steel so it's good to go on the welding part. good luck on the part, Dave.
