I have seen Steve's hubs, they are excellent quality. Actually he had the machinist who is building his with him at the time. I saw all the internal parts and the quality of machine work that went into them. WARN has also looked at Steve's hubs and said they never built anything that nice. I know that Steve used top quality metal in his products. I will be buying a set of his when I can.
I am not knocking Dan's product. I have looked at his mounted on a truck and did not get to see the internals as I did with Steve's. I can not comment quality of machine work on his internals nor to the quality of metal he used. You need to speak with him on that.
I have looked at both hubs side by side (external only on Dan's). I have stated my choice above. I consider the machine work on external faces on Steve's hubs to be better than Dan's. Seeing the internals of Steve's I know that the quality of the machine work is there also.
Bottom line your choice.
