change out the whole dist and put in either a slant six electronic modified for your engine or a pertronix in a rebuilt dist. get a good condenser and install it in the stock unit as a spare. i know that bill in pa will jump on this, but if you cant source good old american quality condensers than modern tech is the answer. there will be a day when you cant source quality ignition parts and upgrading will be a good answer. for rebuildable parts like water pumps, fuel pumps, carbs - going with a quality rebuilder that will keep you on the road. maybe call midwest and see if john has any nos ignition condensers or points in stock.
