I wonder if Gen MacArthur had stayed behind with his men, would they had suffered so badly ? I acknowledge the Generals leadership ability and great men in power realize ,that their positions ,are in the public's scrutiny . I myself can not say what the correct course of action would have been, to stay or go . Surly this was controversial point in his carrier plus the fact he received $500,000 from the Philippine government for his efforts before he left. I wonder about that ~ Copey
