I would read the warranty portion of the owners manual very closely. For a number of years (including '03 I believe) the Cummins warranty did NOT start until the END of the Chrysler warranty. It specifially states that in my '01 manual. They will deny this for sure and you might have to get an attorney to make them do it but they have warrantied more than one engine after the 100,000 miles are passed. Check it out on the diesel sites. Has not come up for a while but you should be able to research it. You may be past warranty on years of use though. I don't recall how that reads right now.
