I built a cab and a half out of 2 1950 B-2's and then mounted it onto a 1994 Chevy 4X4. I've cut down the bed to 6'6" and had to lengthen the frame by 15.5". I also had to extend the radiator shell 4" to meet the hood. If I had to do again I'd use an extended cab as the donor vehicle and find a frame that didn't 'kick up' so high infront of the rear wheels. Something like a frame on a Suburban or old style full size Blazer. I also had to increase the width of the cab behind the door by 3" to make it "look" correct. I've done all the work myself except lengthening the frame which I had professionally done and I'm less than a back yard mechanic. If you want more details or advise let me know.
