Another Model Question: C1-PW6-126

My truck (flat-fender one ton, like at the top of the forum page)bears the model designation C1-PW6-126 on its vehicle identification tag. Based on the vehicle number 83938477 this is a 1954 C-1-PW. Does anyone have any clues why this model number is written as it is?
