nothing at all wrong with points
our 55 chev (57 fi 283) & 58 FI Corvette
both had DUAL POINT distributors no problems
6,500 to 7,000 rpm 65,000 miles plus on both
also our 64 corvette 75,000 + miles with points
our 48 PW has over 400,000 miles with points
so the bottom line is no benifit to change
other than to say "wow i have an E ignition
system"
