I use a small 12v portable sharpener. You get different diameter stones to suit each chain size. These units are common here and easy to use. I've wired up a plug on the back of the truck and just plug it in - takes a couple minutes to sharpen a blade. This is the second one I've had, they seem to last about 10 - 15 years. Cutting hardwood all the time means you have to sharpen regular, so I've got in the habit of a quick touch-up each fuel/oil stop.
