OK, while preparing to disassemble the M's steering linkage to repair my broken Pitman Arm I discovered where I believe the PS fluid is leaking from.
Ever sine I replaced the pump (the previous one burnt up) and the installation of the PS cooler in the low pressure return line I've been finding PS fluid leaking. I thought it was from the pump or fitting, but could never be sure as fluid was all over.
Well now while spinning the steering column from lock to lock I heard what sounded like air of fluid squirting, so I opened the hood to find fluid had ran out of the cap. I started the M to let the pump run and repeated the lock to lock turning. The with the engine off again, and still hear the same noise.
Do I have a bad PS Pump Cap, or something else?
Thanks,
Will
