Holley make good 12v electric pumps - coded blue and red for different delivery amounts - used on hot rods and drag cars, you can mount inside chassis rail and push the fuel through the mechanical pump if you want it to look original, else mount it inside the rail close to the mech pump with a new line to carb - make sure you have a filter before the pump.
Used one on my toyo cruiser and solved a heap of problems.
