I went last week to transfer the title of 1971 W300CC I just bought. Girl had to get an old weight manual to see how to classify the truck. I looked a the book to help her, told he the empty weight was 6,000#s. When I got back to my truck to leave I read the receipt showing the truck has a GVW rating of 8K.......1 ton truck in her mind carries 2K over empty. It has a GVW of 10K......
Sorry you did not get to pay more money Jerry.....other ways to give away cash....
