Once I had to push my Command Car up hill far enough to bump start it on the way back down.
Fortunately, Daddy did teach me to always carry a block of wood. Handy for jacking for height, or bigger foot print on soft sand. This one was an 8x8, a foot long. So, chock the left front wheel, take it out of gear, use top of tire as a 'lever', push, allow to bounce off chock, push, bounce, push, bounce, until it almost goes over the chock, then push, kick the block to chock it a foot farther up the hill. Repeat.
The doctors say I'm suffering from wear and tear diseases. ;)
