Galen, when I got my truck 3 yrs ago I thought there was something wrong with the shifter. I bought a m-37 shifter off of e-bay and put it in. it was a perfect fit and worked well, it wasn't the fix and didn't make any difference in the way the trans shifted. turned out it was the operator just wasn't doing it right. I now have a shifer top laying in the floor from a 420np, is your trans a 420? if so, the m top will fit. if the problem is the ball on the end of the stick you will have to get that fixed too as the m top will not have the same stick, and you will have to use it in the new top. or if you would rather have an oridginal part the one I've got is a 58 model, and is in very good shape. (will still have to fix the ball) Dave.
