I have heard very common on early 46 trucks using WC parts. There was a pair on ebay a while back.
I have had 2 early 46's that had stamped steel plates similar to a WC 6x6 but they were built in Los Angeles. I think all the brass ones came out of Detroit but I could be wrong.
