Paul I put new brake lines in my 64 TWPW. The first flare tool didn't work to well (Sears I think) and I got a KD flare tool and after a few tries it worked well, I hope! Question is with the rubber hoses (2 front, 1 rear) came with 3 copper washers that would go on the threads to the backing plates in front and the T fitting in back. I didn't install them and the front leaked. So I assume those are copper 'crush' washers and important that I install them, yes? what torque?
I also installed a rebuilt 68 Power Vacuum unit, 72 Dodge dual master and a Wilwood adjustable proportion valve in the rear circuit. It is set at the halfway point to start, and then I will test and adjust. Original Drums.
Thanks, Gar
The flare kit shown is the first one and not the KD kit. I plumbed the large, front reservoir to the front brakes.
