We produce some oil from domestic sources. We even export tiny amounts to some of the same countries from which we import.
Our gross imports are 12.9 million barrels a day. We export 1.8 million barrels for a net of 11.1 milliong barrels imported every day. Look up the daily price of a barrel of oil, and it is easy to see how much American wealth we are handing over to other countries every day.
