84 W350 Crewcab Gas Tank Size?

Shows 20gal or optional 30gal in the manual.How do I tell without running it dry?It measures approximately 64".It has a cirle in the molding that has a B and 30.I've put 22 in at empty on the gauge.I don't want to assume.Thanks
