Chris, I use clear RTV silicone to fix broken badges in place. First one I tried it on was a VW and they were still there when it died 7 years later - no failures yet and been using it for many years. I also use it under "good" badges, so even if you strip a thread or lose a clip the badge stays put. I coat the back, install, then carefully trim the excess. Also stops crud getting in there and causing rust.
