I'm rewiring an old house here in CT right now that is a mess. It has a ton of taps off the knob and tube. Lamp cord, door bell wire etc. Its a 2 family house, each fuse box is 4 circuits each. All with 30 amp fuses in there. So we are cutting and snaking the nasty old plaster. Knob and tube was ok back in its day before all the kitchen appliances we have these days. SO when they blew a fuse using that toaster oven, coffee pot and microwave at the same time they just stuck a 30 amp fuse in. Hey it must be ok the lights are back on.
