I just had a version of this discussion today with Bob Stahl while at his place. My brother Frank is putting a 318 poly in his wdx, maybe looking to use an NP4530. Then he learned of a mechanical clutch bell that was behind a slant 6 and so now he's wondering if the mechanical clutch bell would work with his wdx clutch between the poly 318 and NP4530. Sounds like wishful thinking but what do you guys think? If not what are the issues? He has a hydraulic clutch bell for the poly but hopes for an easy clutch solution. Input, anyone? Could a mechanical clutch bell be behind a slant 6? Which should be the same as a poly 318 or is the slant 6 mech bell a myth?
