I am trying to go back to 2000, in memory when I rebuilt the 318 for the Bumblebee. I thunks I remember that on the rear of the block in each corner you had to apply some Silicone sealer to the block before putting the pan gasket on. Maybe it was where the rear bearing retainer bolted to the block and created a seam ?? I cant remember for sure, 10 years is a long time to remember something like a gasket. Hopefully someone else here will know for sure.
