I think that we can all agree that there needed to be some changes in our health care system. Best I can tell this bill did not address the main issues. It seems to be a redistribution of wealth again. Something that this government is h*(l bent on.
So let's see what has happened in recent history. Hard working guys like you and me have spent our lives working to support our families, pay our taxes, pay for our houses and give our families the best that we could. The pursuit of happiness I guess per the Constitution. Many of us were fiscally very sound but now may loose that.
Now we and our kids need to pay for the people who made bad decisions who bought houses, car and toys they could not afford. We are also paying for the people (scammers) who lied to and cheated those people into buying all that stuff that they could not afford so that they could get their commissions checks. And for the banks, wall street and the other crooks we have already bailed them out at least once with our money. We have paid for so much more such as the farmers not to grow and countless other "Entitlements" to the selected few.
Now this. The bill is going to be huge for this medical coverage. It will create a very expensive government organization which will swallow up most of the monies coming in and bloat the cost of medical coverage and health care. And like it's government counter parts it will go broke which means more taxes for us.
I have no problems helping the truly poor and destitute and the handicapped, but I see no reason why I should help pay the health insurance for a family making $88K a year. A family like that can easily pay the cost of health care even at today's costs and have plenty left over for all they need.
