We have the same thing here. You can run a plate from the year of manufacture with the tabs for the same year. It is for classic cars over 30 years old. You only need one plate instead of the normally reauired 2. The nice thing about them is you pay for registration once and that is it. I have been running for 33 years and paid only the first year. They do have some restrictions on use but they are not bad and has never affected my ability to use the truck.
