mine 10 minute to 220 then stat opens promptly then runs a cool 190 for the remained of the day > you have other problems if you cant open the throttle open i suspect first a vacuum leak then poor carb adjustment or a plugged up carb i have a quick trick for unplugging a carb on the engine get the engine running as fast as you can slam the choke shut quickly the sometime sucks out a bad jet the trick is the feather the engine and keep it running so you can repeat this 4 or five times > if you cant slam the choke open and closed fast enough > i just suffocate the engine with my hand > next if that dont work start from the basics points timing wires the carb ~ Copey and stevve in nj how about a offer on that r p g ill go 2500 sounds like your still burning !
