Amateur radio covers many aspects. One can really choose a area they like and stick there or go for many areas. Of course, its all communications with others.
There are contests on longest distance, SSTV and ATV with are both forms of televised pictures. Communications thru Satellites,
experimental forms of signal propagation.And I have only scratched the surface. I was going to build a 'RAY' to get the tourists ha ha.
