That's the primary thing though. Windows software and most mainstream PC hardware isn't the problem. It's the 3rd party hardware and software that cause problems.
That's always been Apples MO, tight control of everything. It's also why they are such a small fraction of the market. These requirements are restrictive and make it difficult to do things. It's one of the reasons you won't find lots of software on Apple.
Like I said, if you're willing to live within the little world Apple has created: approved hardware, software, devices, uses, then all is fine. I just hate being that restricted. And last time I used a Mac (admittedly many years ago now) it was far less stable than my PC.
Plus I have major issues with their practically false advertising and totalitarian operating practices.
