Ok sounds like the valve or the grommet is bad. I have had to pull these out in the past & have had them crack at the nipple where it engages with the grommet. So attempt to diagnose it a little better or just pick up a new grommet & check valve. If you have to replace this while it's cold out chances are even greater the plastic will fracture.
