I have the same thoughts about why not jsut turn the key back one notch etc. but many people cant think too straight in certain situations and they freeze up in a panic. I have seen it on the face of people sliding in their cars on ice. brakes lights shining bright, eyes very big, hands locked on steering wheel. they cant let off the brake and steer anymore. some of us can deal with those situations and some cant. Since a rpius is half electric Iwonder if turning the key back would stop the acceleration? And would you lose your brakes with the key off? in this article they did turn the key off eventually.
