Good points. Lesson #1 way back when in Drivers Ed was how to control a throttle-stuck or no-brakes situation.
1. Stick your toe under the accelerator and try to lift it back.
2. Turn the key off and shift into neutral
3. Try to rub against a guard rail or something else to slow your momentum.
4. Aim for something relatively soft and hold on
With evertything being "drive by wire" these days, #4 may be the only option available to some.
