Paul : great pic on the hydroboost unit. The spring that I found does work on my trucks unit and is very close in spec to the original. The 5 finger spring is very important because this is what the spring pushes against to return the hydroboost plunger/ pedal assembly. The spring never touches the master cylinder in any way. If you are going to fab a piece for here it must be strong enough to resist the spring forces with the pedal at full travel. This works out to about 15-25 lbs of spring force on this 5 fingered disc. That is why this metal piece is made of high strength spring steel.
