Mostly, it's the needles. They are shaped like a double edged dagger on the tip, they slice a slot instead of poking an undersized hole. Less friction pulling the thread through the hole.
Use the zipper foot to sew cording to the edge of the fabric, the needle will follow the edge of the fabric.
I bought lots of extra fabric. Spray glued it to the kink panels, door panels, headliner... use high temp headliner glue, or it will fall off in the summer sun.
