I've never welded a rim nor would want I to but I did heat up lug nuts. My skidloader had two that I couldn't break loose with my 3/4" drive ratchet. I applied a little heat to the nuts and ran them off with my impact wrench. I will think again about doing that now that I've seen this video. It never ceases to amaze me the number of topics on YouTube. I wish there were some kind of index.
