Tony, I can't honestly remember about that rear seal, it was around 30 years and many rebuilds ago. When I bought rear main seals for the engine I am using, the first set that arrived were 2 rubber halves as you mention and they were the only type carried by place I got them from - suggests to me the later model stock. Think I still have them so could be handy when I get to the full flow block. Handy set of engine stands you have there.
