I hope you find out what happened - but on the lighter side. My next door neighbor was kind enough to let a guy haul in a bunch of Pontiac Fiero's, at least 7 or 8. I guess he thought he had the market cornered on Fiero's even though one of them was fully optioned. He told her they would only be there for a few months.
Well - 3 years later they are all still there. She called up the local car salvage yard and amazingly they all disappeared.
I never did hear if he ever found out.
