I can't say positively, but I think they're the same (25 amps?). I know the regulators are the same and the cable have the same ends on them, but the M37 regulator-to-generator cable is longer than the M38 one. I'm pretty sure the original REO gasser M35s and GMC M211s also used the same regulator, possibly the same generator, but even longer cables.
