Bill, First production Hemi sold to the public in a car, was a 331 in 1951 (180hp @ 4000, 312ft.lbs @ 2000, 7.5cr). GM had OHV V8s for Cadillac (160hp) and Olds (135hp) in 1949.
The first 241 Poly Power Dome in light duty trucks and 241 Hemis in 1-1/2 and 2 ton trucks were in June of 1954.
