I ran a 265 in my '46 WDX with 38" Swampers and 4.89s. Truck ran well at 55-60 mph but was a little rough on the clutch starting out in 2nd gear. Had the same tires and 4.88 gears in my C3PW with a 440 engine and had lots of power! Ran the WDX for 20 years with many trips to Fairfield (340 miles one way)and the combination worked well for highway travel, off road I used low range. MPG was 11.5 with the WDX and about 10 with the C3PW.
