That bracket should be an
L" shape at the frame with the upright of the "L" passing along the side of the frame and bolted to the frame.
Now you know what happens when you get in a hurry and go brain dead! lol
There is a tremendous amount of stress on the frame when plowing and it won't take much abuse.
