Brent, once upon a time I worked in a truck shop that installed beds, dump,grain, and built other types as well, I've installed about 75to100 pto's. there is a plate that can be had that is a 1/4" thick just for this. I've used them several times, just a matter of finding some place to get one. If you can find a truck shop in your area it would be a good bet that they would have what you want. Dave.
