Paul, it's a fully welded joint in a similar position to the USA cab and lead finished. Also a lot of lead used at the top back corner of the door opening and the Oz cabs tend to crack there. When I cleaned mine up to repair the cracks, I found only some of the seams had not been fully welded - they are now.
