while my work may be impressive, my knowledge of how the swivel truck handles is not. what i can say is; the units were originally designed for 2-5 ton trucks,well over the 1 ton rating of the powerwagon.
jonas smith or scott welcher are the 2 to ask about how these things handle on the road. the frame itself is significantly strenghtened when the 2 cross members are added, another thing i noticed was that it seems the frame stress was all transfered to the swivel tube.[no twistng].the repro tubes are 40% stronger than the original.
some of the original literature stated a 45 degree tilt was achievable. i dont think i would want to go that far. when i was playing with a swivel frame i felt that about 32 inches was the most i would want to lift a single wheel. that equates to approx. 9-10 inches of travel at the swivel.
i should be builing right now!!
