Great movie and find.
I grew up in Winsted and lived there for 18 years. My family is still there. We had a red PW just like the one in the picture that we used to cut and haul wood for the fireplaces and furnace. My father had us paint the truck with brushes every couple of years.
Too bad the town doesn't look like it does in the movie. The flood of '55 washed out one whole side of the town. It came right down the Mad River. The town was a big manufacturing center.
