I read a study done by the SAE that compared the filtering abilties of oil bath, paper, and wet and dry cleanable type filters. They used a scoring system for the study. In the end the oil bath and the paper scored exactly the same but for differentt reasons. The oil bath was able to filter out certain sized particles that the paper one did not and vice versa. both paper and oil bath scored higher than the after market cleanable types. but this was only a test of filtering not air flow. I would think the oil bath might flow a little better.
