c) If you have a tap that fits, thread it intot he bushing and just keep turning. The bushing will screw it's way up the tap.
d) Use a "cape chisel". Maybe you can grind your own from a drift or center punch. Chisel a groove intot he inside of the pilot bushing, all the way through. Once it is slit, it is easily removed by curling one end inwards, then plucking it out with needle nosed pliers. Don't grove into the crank.
e) there is a 'bushing puller'. Works like an inside out gear puller, on the end of a slide hammer. Simple. Rent it?
