I have been a wife for 17 years, a mother for 15.( Some would say 22 years, since my husband & I dated for 5 years)
All I can say is at least you have learned about his interests before investing too much time in the relationship. In all of our 22 years together, my husband has always had some kind of a project going.
Now that you know, you can plan to spend an equal amount of time on yourself - doing what you want, being with your friends, or in the future, doing things with your kids. (It does help the relationship if occassionally, you go outside & help hold a tool or a flashlight for a short time. Don't let him get too used to it, or he will ask all of the time)
Like some of the others have said, be glad he has something in the yard to play with instead of who knows where. (The way I check, is occassionally, I holler ' supper's ready'. If he comes inside within 30 minutes or so, then I know everything is ok. After an hour of no answer, then I go outside and throw the leftovers to the dogs! My greyhounds really like steak)
I don't know why these fools like these big trucks, but at least if I get stuck in some weather situation, he better get his truck and his @#$ to me immediately!!!!
